FanClash is Asia’s largest Esports fantasy platform, and within just two years of our establishment, we have made significant advancements in the Esports fantasy industry. Recently, we launched a new brand identity with a disruptive marketing campaign. The entire campaign shook the esports circuit and created a buzz all over social media. “What is FanClash up to?” was a question brewing in the minds of esports fanatics.
Now you all might be wondering how all of this came together. Let’s give you a peek into our rollercoaster ride.
The idea was to instill new energy into the brand, so the old had to disappear for the new to step in. So, we started with a strategic wipeout of its social media pages, which sparked curiosity and speculation among esports enthusiasts. This provoked many conversations amongst the fans and top gaming creators, including notable figures from the industry like Shiva Nandy, the founder and CEO of Skyesports, Animesh “Thug” Agarwal, a popular gamer and founder of the team 8bit, and a popular streamer and owner of Velocity Gaming, Manoj Kasyap. Through many cryptic posts and hint-dropping activities, snippets of information were given to the fans, creating a lot of hype and excitement about the upcoming events.
The entire process was a succession of strategic, creative, and operational decisions. The campaign had three phases during its execution: wipe out, pre-reveal, and reveal. And this culminated in an amazing live event called FanClash Respawn. Prominent casters, K18 and 8bit Thug hosted this livestream. The event started with introducing FanClan, an army of esports athletes and creators. This action-packed army includes Roxx, “The Falcon”, winner of the International PUBG World Pro League South Asia and top BGMI athlete; Rakazone, “The Sniper”, Streamer Of The Year 2018, versatile streamer known for GTA V roleplay videos and Valorant streams; Xyaa, “The Firestorm”, top female Valorant content creator in India; and Venom, “The Alpha”, India’s most popular Counter-Strike-turned-Valorant gaming professional.
Our Head of Marketing, Mrs Archana Sangaran, commented on these partnerships, saying, “We have forged successful partnerships with top organisations such as Orangutan Esports, Team Velocity, Team Hyderabad Hydras, and Team M42. We are now proud to welcome aboard our FanClan, creator squad and partners in the company’s mission for delivering unique content IPs and fan experiences. Gaming aficionados can look out for many more exciting associations soon.”
After warming up with FanClan, it was finally the moment everyone was waiting for, the unveiling of our new logo, new cyber-punk-inspired mascot Ne.0N, and revamped UI/website. FanClan was thrilled to see the latest changes. The influencers quickly picked up that our new mascot, Ne.0N, is a gamer himself. The radiance of our brand-new logo and look brought light to their faces.
Our co-founder, Richa Singh, also appeared on the livestream and talked about her journey from playing video games in her office to building India’s first esports fantasy platform.
Mr Rishabh Bhansali, Co-Founder of FanClash, reflected on the rebranding and said, “The journey of building alliances with the biggest names in the industry and securing our position of leadership as one of the top esports companies in the gaming world has been fantastic. The rebranding marks the beginning of yet another journey towards providing immersive interactive experiences for the fans”.
The rebranding process shed new light on the brand and allowed us to engage with our fans on a deeper level. This is just the beginning, and we hope our FanClashers are here to witness the entire journey of building an esports gaming ecosystem.
